Join us for a free plein air painting demonstration with nationally acclaimed artist Rosalie Sidoti on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, from 12:00–1:30 PM at Sharksmouth, 305 Summer Street, Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA. This demonstration is free and open to the public, but please RSVP HERE.
Watch Rosalie paint live as she demonstrates her thoughtful approach to capturing the beauty, light, and atmosphere of Cape Ann's coastline. During this engaging demonstration, she'll share insights into her creative process, blending careful observation with artistic intuition to create paintings that are both expressive and timeless. Artists of all levels, collectors, and anyone who appreciates fine art are invited to enjoy this unique opportunity to learn from one of the region's most respected painters.
Neither purely Impressionist nor Realist, Rosalie describes her work as a balance between classical training and personal interpretation. "I've always felt fortunate to be able to visually translate the things I love into paintings," she says. Guided by a strong academic foundation, she combines direct observation with intuitive interpretation to create work that reflects both technical excellence and emotional connection.
A nationally recognized, award-winning artist, Rosalie was recently honored with the prestigious Alden Bryan Memorial Medal and has also received awards from distinguished organizations including the Copley Society. A dedicated educator and mentor, she served for many years as a Master's Program Supervisor at Tufts University. Rosalie earned both her BFA and MA degrees and continued her graduate studies through exchange programs with the Ruskin School of Fine Arts at Oxford University in England. She now lives on Cape Ann, where the region's extraordinary natural beauty continues to inspire her work.
