Participate in painting the Motif as part of the Greater Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce’s Motif no 1 Day, celebrating Rockport's community & artistic legacy. Artists are encouraged to paint the local vistas of Rockport, including the Motif, which is the most painted icon in the World!
Here's what you need to know:
Kids' Event with Cape Ann Art Haven (11 AM - 1 PM)
All supplies provided by Art Haven!
This is a not-a-drop-off event, Parent supervision is required.
Adults (Paint 11 AM - 2:00 PM)
Judging and Awards (2:00 PM - 3:00 PM)
Bring your completed artwork to Barletta Park for judging.
Winners will be announced and prizes will be awarded to the top 3 adult painters!
Awards: 1st prize - $150 | 2nd prize $100 | 3rd prize $50
Sell Your Art!
Artists are welcome to sell their creations directly to customers!

CATA’s Rockport Shuttle will be running on Motif No.1 Day! It begins at 11am and runs every 20 minutes until approximately 6:30pm. It starts at the Blue Gate Lot and loops around town including the MBTA station and it’s FREE this year! Check our the Shuttle Guide for more Information HERE.
