Beth Buckingham

Co-President

Beth is a multifaceted creative with a background in real estate, art, acting, and software development. She has been active in the Cape Ann arts community, serving on the boards of the Rockport Art Association and Museum for 8 years and as a Trustee for Cape Ann Plein Air for 6 years. A landscape artist working primarily in oil, Beth draws inspiration from Cape Ann’s light and scenery, where she has lived for 12 years.

Her passion for plein air painting began over 20 years ago with David Curtis at the Cox Reservation in Essex. As a Cape Ann Plein Air board member, she enjoys working with a dedicated team to create an inspiring environment for artists and the public. Her favorite spots to paint include Stage Fort Park, the Cox Reservation, and the Crane Estate.

Beth is always amazed by the talent at Cape Ann Plein Air, where artists create extraordinary works in just one week and engage the community through events like Palate to Palettes, artist demos, and the Gala. For Beth, the event celebrates Cape Ann’s artistic legacy and shares it with the world.
