Billy Burgoyne

Board of Directors

Billy Burgoyne is an arts administration professional with a degree in Arts Administration from Boston University. He currently works as the Audience Development and Patron Services Manager at Rockport Music, bringing world-class performances to Cape Ann. Billy is also a professional DJ and an amateur watercolor and mixed-media artist.

Living on Cape Ann for nearly 10 years, Billy joined the Cape Ann Plein Air board in 2023. His first experience during Cape Ann Plein Air Week deepened his appreciation for the dedication of the artists and board. Billy enjoys seeing artists capture Cape Ann’s beauty, especially its diverse landscapes.

He believes Cape Ann Plein Air is essential for both artists and the community, providing a platform for artists while connecting the public to the creative process. Billy’s favorite spots to paint include Cormorant Rocks, the Back Shore, and the Paint Factory on Rocky Neck. The event’s range of subject matter, from pastoral scenes to industrial landscapes, often surprises first-time attendees.
