Marianne Coons, a lifelong resident of Manchester, brings a deep appreciation for the arts and Cape Ann's rich history to the Cape Ann Plein Air board. With a background in Fine Arts and Photography, and experience managing the Sharksmouth Estate, former home of artist Charles Hopkinson, she possesses a unique perspective on the artistic legacy of the region. Marianne, who has called Cape Ann home for the past 30 years, is eager to contribute to the festival, particularly enjoying the opportunity to witness the diverse interpretations of the local scenery by the artists during demonstrations and the Quick Draw. She recognizes the vital role Cape Ann Plein Air plays in bringing art into the community, fostering a connection between artists and residents, and highlighting the stunning beauty of locations like her favorite, the Sharksmouth Estate.
