Mike Storella is a member of the Cape Ann Plein Air Board of Directors and a passionate plein air artist who has been creating art since 1997. A longtime resident of Manchester-by-the-Sea, Mike has deep roots in the Cape Ann community, having co-owned a gallery in the area for eight years. With a background in high-tech executive roles, he combines his professional expertise with his love for art to help shape the mission of Cape Ann Plein Air.

Mike enjoys collaborating with fellow board members to create an organization that celebrates the art of Cape Ann, particularly plein air painting. As an artist, he paints nearly exclusively outdoors, finding inspiration in the area's stunning landscapes, especially the marshes of Essex. He loves working with other artists, exchanging ideas, and continuously improving his craft. Mike believes events like Cape Ann Plein Air are vital for both artists and the community, as they showcase the rich artistic history of the region—from Homer to Hopper—and bring people together through the shared appreciation of art.
