Sara is a painter and photographer based in Manchester-by-the-Sea, with deep ties to Cape Ann, having lived in the region for many years. She is passionate about the area's natural beauty, which inspires much of her work, particularly the light, the ocean, and the scenic Gloucester harbor. Sara enjoys discussing art with fellow artists, drawing inspiration from their shared experiences and perspectives.

As a member of the Cape Ann Plein Air board, Sara’s favorite part is being involved in the excitement of the competition week, where the community comes together to celebrate the region’s artistic legacy. She believes that events like Cape Ann Plein Air are vital for both artists and the local community, as they offer a unique opportunity to connect with the public and showcase the beauty of Cape Ann through the eyes of talented artists.

Though Sara paints in her studio, her favorite scenes to capture are those inspired by the coastal landscapes and dynamic light of Cape Ann.
