Susan Levine brings a diverse background to Cape Ann Plein Air as a member of the Board of Directors. She has a history as a middle school teacher, a sales and marketing representative for British Air and Hilton Hotels. As the owner of a successful event planning business for 35 years, Susan specializes in invitations and event coordination.

Now living in Rockport, Susan loves connecting with the diverse group of artists who participate in the Cape Ann Plein Air festival and is dedicated to promoting the artistic community.

Susan is passionate about how Cape Ann Plein Air showcases the region's natural beauty through art. She believes the event plays a vital role in both celebrating the area’s visual charm and boosting the local economy. Her favorite places to paint are the Back Shore, working harbors, Halibut Point, and the distinctive architecture of Cape Ann.

One of the most surprising aspects for first-time attendees is the opportunity to engage directly with artists, as most of the events are free, allowing the public to get up close to the creative process throughout the week.
